Childs Play

My Second solo show titled Childs Play was up at the Des Moines social Club in The Basement. While feating a small section of my prints the main focus of the show was on the two large mural I created. However, I had the aid of the Social Club juniors Program. I worked as an art educator durring this after school program for kindergartners through fifth graders. The kids where a lot of fun to work. In turn they aided in developing paintings whose bright colors and vibrancy i found reflective of their positive attitudes.

80/35 2017

Back at it for a second summer. Compliments of the Des Moines Social club Bryan Nance and Daniel Nutt create another mural durring the 2017 80/35 music festival. This time however we made the 6 foot by 6 foot painting open to public collaboration and handling. This time around the piece was held on to and currently on display in the Basement of the Des Moines Social Club. come check it out.

Mind Games

Mind Games was my first solo show at the Des Moines Social Club. located downstairs in the Viaduct Gallery. It was on display if 2017 from February 3rd  to February 28th. It was a culmination of the skills I developed thanks to teaching from the faculty at Drake University. It was amazing to see the process and understand fully how much work each show could take to take it to the next level. There was a great turn out on the opening night. filled with friends, family, and art enthusiasts of all kinds.

Here are a couple images from the show. Most of the works are on torn fabric pieces panted together. The fabric is my old clothes that no longer fits. it holds both my personal time and memories along with the culture trends that sweep our increasingly diverse time.
